AI Certification Program

Is this product protecting people or exploiting them? That question deserves a real answer. We're building the standard to provide one.

The Problem

Right now, any company can claim their AI is "ethical," "responsible," or "human-centered." There is no independent, publicly visible standard that evaluates whether those claims are true. Consumers, employees, and citizens have no way to know if the AI systems affecting their lives are protecting them or exploiting them.

The GIAH Certification

GIAH is developing an AI Certification Program that will evaluate organizations' AI practices against a rigorous, publicly available standard for human impact. Think LEED certification for buildings, but for AI ethics and accountability.

Organizations are evaluated across multiple dimensions: data privacy and security, algorithmic transparency, bias testing and mitigation, consumer protection, workforce impact, and accountability structures. Results are graded and published. No black box. No self-reporting. No pay-to-play.

How It Works

Organizations apply for evaluation. GIAH's independent assessment team reviews practices, interviews stakeholders, and tests systems against our published criteria. Results are graded on a public scale. Certified organizations receive the GIAH Certification mark. Recertification is required annually.

Why It Matters

Certification creates market incentives for responsible AI. When consumers, partners, and investors can see who's doing the work and who's just talking, behavior changes. Accountability starts with visibility.

We never accept funding from organizations we certify. That's the bright line that makes this credible. See our Independence Charter for the full framework.
